On March 1, 2024, the Public Administration Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a workshop aimed at discussing the curriculum reconstruction for the Center of Excellence (CoE) program, specifically within the Public Administration field. The event featured guest speakers, including the Dean of FISIP UMM, Prof. Dr. Muslimin Machmud, M.Si, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Daman.
"Three universities have already visited UMM to learn about CoE: UGM, UMY, and UNPAD. They were attracted by UMM’s CoE concept," said Mr. Kamil, S.IP., M.A.
The Center of Excellence (CoE) program at UMM, specifically in the Public Administration Study Program, has been integrated with final assignments. CoE also serves as a stimulus for the study program to prepare alumni with competent skills that align with the demands of the job market. CoE has received recognition from various institutions, including the Ministry of Education and UNESCO, and has garnered attention due to its unique and attractive programs, which can generate specialized study areas that appeal to the market.
"CoE provides strong support for the university's policies, ensuring students graduate on time because students participating in CoE do not need to follow the regular process as those not enrolled in CoE," stated Prof. Dr. Muslimin, M.Si.
Due to its many appealing features, the CoE program has also become an attractive option for students, not only for theoretical knowledge but also for practical experience and valuable insights.
