SEEKING AND DEDICATING KNOWLEDGE FOR BELOVED ACEH

Afrizal Woyla Saputra Zaini is a Government Science student at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) from Aceh. Affectionately called Afrizal, he was born on July 29, 1990, in Woyla, Aceh. He completed his formal education in his hometown, attending SDN Meutulang (2003), MTsN Peureumeu (2006), and SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Meulaboh (2009).

Throughout his formal education, Afrizal achieved several accolades, including being named Outstanding Student of SMA Muhammadiyah (2007), receiving the Student Environmental Service Award of West Aceh Regency (2007), serving as a member of the Regency Flag Hoisting Troop (2007), joining the Provincial Flag Hoisting Troop of Aceh (2008), earning recognition as a creative community activist in West Aceh Regency (2010), and achieving the highest GPA in the 3rd and 4th semesters (2010-2011). In the 5th semester, he earned an impressive GPA of 3.96.

Despite his busy academic life, Afrizal has been active in various organizations. He served as the General Secretary of the Aceh Student and Youth Association in Malang for two terms (2009-2010 and 2010-2011), Secretary of the Aceh Dormitory in Malang (2010-2011), Chairman of the Aceh Dormitory Development Committee in Malang (2010-present), member of the NasDem Party branch in West Aceh Regency (2010-present), initiator of the West Aceh Alumni Paskibraka Association (2010), member of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) UMM FISIP Chapter, member of HIMAP UMM, and various other regional and national organizations.

Afrizal is also an active opinion writer in print media. Some of his published articles include “Otonomi Khusus Aceh di Simpang Jalan” (Aceh's Special Autonomy at a Crossroads) and “Satu Kata untuk Aceh (Refleksi Aneuk Rantau)” (One Word for Aceh: Reflections of a Distant Child).

With his extensive organizational experience, Afrizal has high hopes and dreams for achieving success in life. However, reaching those dreams is not as simple as imagining them or reasoning in an idle state; it requires commitment and hard work to realize his aspirations. Afrizal’s life motto is "Want the Best of the Best." Additionally, he aims to become a revolutionary figure in the governance of Aceh and Indonesia in general.
