UMM IP Study Program students accompanied by IP Study Program Lecturer, Muhammad Kamil, MA, successfully carried out SE (Study Excursie) activities. This activity is a series of visits to various Ministries and Institutions in Jakarta for 3 days (26-28/03/2018). SE is a routine activity of the IP Study Program to provide insight and knowledge of government to students by directly going to the field to visit and dialogue with bureaucrats. SE is also an entry point for IP Study Program to follow up cooperation with various agencies. In short, SE provides important benefits for students and the IP Study Program. For students, SE is an opportunity to gain hands-on learning experience in government practice. For Prodi IP, SE activities are an expansion of the cooperation network.
The first visit, Monday, 26/03/2018, began with a visit to the Directorate General of Budget, Ministry of Finance, to learn the practice of State Budget Management. Next, the group visited the Ministry of State Secretariat. Students were invited to learn Smart Governance Institutions. On the second day, Tuesday, 27/03/2018, IP students were invited to visit the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia to understand State Administration in the context of the Constitution. After that, the group went to the Ministry of PAN-RB to be invited to learn to explore the Supervision Model of ASN. From the PAN-RB Ministry, the group moved to the Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss Regional Development in order to accelerate the improvement of people's welfare. The last day, Wednesday, 28/03/2018, IP students visited the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency to understand the strengthening of regional financial supervision and control. The hope is that SE can provide scientific insight as a provision for students later. SE is a series of visits that lead to knowledge.
