As a leading center for science development and government practices, Department of Government Studies University of Muhammadiyah Malang is committed to improving academic quality and services to students. With the supporting system from Laboratory of Government Studies and the library as a resource center, the internalization of academic values and culture is realized concretely, while in realizing strengthening government practices, Department of Government Studies established institutional cooperation and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for all stakeholders and shareholders in the form of research and student service internship program to the community. The collaboration has been established with various government agencies at central and regional levels, foreign universities, private parties, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and civil society as a real manifestation of strengthening the values of good governance. Besides that, Department of Government Studies also provides various soft skills to students as a form of facilitation of leadership development in the Government Studies Student Association (HIMAP), strengthening english language skills in the Government English Club (GEC) and strengthening scientific writing skills at Researcher dan Writer of Government Science (PERS-IP). With a comfortable white campus atmosphere, and supported by modern facilities, academic administration based on IT, and competent teacher staff, since 1986 Department of Government Studies has produced graduates who have been absorbed in various kinds of central and regional government institutions, Educational Institutions, Mass Media, Financial Institutions, Political Parties (politicians), NGOs and other institutions.
