Malang, June 13, 2023. The Government Science Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang held a field study for the Government Information Technology course at the Surabaya City Government Communication and Information Office. This field study was attended by 116 students of class 2021 and a group of organizers and several lecturers. The group departed from Malang using two buses and was received directly by the Secretary of the Office, namely Mrs. Ir. IRA NARULITA PUSPITARINI MM, which is located on the 5th floor of the Surabaya City siola building.

In this activity, students and a group of lecturers conducted an audience regarding the implementation of smart cities in the city of Surabaya. Smart city as an idea regarding the integration of innovation, technology and collaboration is aimed at improving the quality of life of the community with various innovative services by the government. Students seemed enthusiastic by asking several questions to the Surabaya City Diskominfo. Furthermore, Muhammad Kamil as the Head of Study Program as well as the head of the group said the importance of this activity to provide students with practical experience and knowledge about governance, especially the implementation of smart cities.
