Malang, March 15, 2022, The University of Muhammadiyah Malang Government Science Student Association (HIMAP UMM) through the Nawasena Cabinet through Social Affairs (SOSMA) has successfully implemented the Satu Jua program (One Literacy Lantern for Millions of Lights). The theme of this work program is 'Building a Progressive Literacy Lantern as an Effort in Preparing the Nation's Golden Generation'. This activity was carried out at Kartika Pradhana Kindergarten which involved direct interaction between Government Science students and the students and teaching teachers who were there, this was done with the aim of increasing the social sensitivity of Government Science students to the literacy level of the children around them. This is also done as a form of observation on how the implementation of government policies related to children's education policies has been effective or not. These observations, which were carried out simultaneously with educational games for students, proved that the educational program issued by the government was running well at Kartika Pradhana Kindergarten.
Head of HIMAP,M. Salman Jabbar said that the purpose of this program is to develop social sensitivity capabilities for HIMAP administrators. “HIMAP must be able to be useful for the surrounding environment, especially kindergarten children who will become the nation's successors in the future. The educational games that we choose aim to make the learning process of kindergarten students, especially reading (literacy) fun so that it becomes more effective. "Their enthusiasm is very high, which shows that this learning pattern needs to be improved," explained Salman.
The Satu Jua activity begins with the participation of the committee and invited guests in the morning activities of the Kartika Pradhana Kindergarten children where each series of activities carried out always includes the educational value of learning which is very effective in how to attract children's interest in learning such as making English chants. and count in both Indonesian and English. After the activity, the committee took over to provide education to the children through three games that had been prepared by the committee. The games that are played consist of running balloons, crossing geometry, and jumping numbers. Participants participated in these activities cheerfully, because the learning provided was also packaged in an attractive system so that children unconsciously also participated in learning in these activities. In addition, these games also teach how cohesiveness and cooperation in a team are needed to then achieve what they are aiming for. To attract children's interest, prizes are also provided for the 21 participants who take part in the activity. After participating in a series of activities starting from 07.00 to 10.00 WIB, the activity was closed with a photo with the Vice Principal along with the committee and invited guests.
