Malang, October 1 2023. One of the Government Science students, namely Sofie Maritza Jutanto, is currently carrying out an internship and research activity for 4 months at the Batu City Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (P3AP2KB) Service.

For him, one of the most memorable internship activities was taking part in accompanying victim consultations with psychologists. Assistance in consulting victims with psychologists is a follow-up activity carried out by the Integrated Service Center for Women & Children Protection (P2TP2A) under the auspices of the P3AP2KB Service for every report received until the victim's problem is resolved.

“The victims who were accompanied in this consultation came from various age groups. "This made me realize that this mental illness can attack anyone regardless of age," he said.

Through this activity, he became aware of the importance of mental health in the problems they were facing. Therefore, he hopes that the local government can be more assertive in dealing with this mental health problem.

"There is a need to hold more in-depth outreach to the community regarding 'PUSPAGA' which is a forum for prevention, complaints, and finding solutions to every community problem, whether domestic, economic, educational, etc. "Later, if there is a problem related to the law, it will be referred to P2TP2A so that the victim can get assistance until the problem is resolved," he said.

Apart from that, he also hopes that the public does not need to be afraid to report the problems they are facing to higher authorities.
