The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-Perjuangan) succeeded in becoming the winner in the 2004 and 2009 legislative elections in Batu City. In both elections, PDI-Perjuangan managed to secure victory and maintain its seats in the Batu City Regional Representative Council (DPRD), winning five (5) seats in both elections. This achievement cannot be separated from the loyal voters of PDI-Perjuangan in Batu City, who consistently chose the party in the 2004 and 2009 elections.
