Encouraging the Effectiveness of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Government Studies Study Program Integrating Research, Service and Teaching

Malang, December 20, 2022. Demands for higher education management based on output and outcome require study program managers to innovate. One way is to integrate research, service and teaching activities. Therefore, the Government Studies Study Program at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang held the integration of the Tri Dharma of higher education, which all study program lecturers attended. The activities carried out at the Rayz Hotel discussed activities that could be collaborated between lecturers and students. Integration in the form of research is research collaboration conducted by lecturers and students on certain topics, and the research results will later be used as learning materials.

As for the community service discussion, the Government Studies Study Program plans it with a single location mechanism for several community service groups, which will more or less become like a guided village. In addition, this lecturer service group can form a lecturer partner PMM which involves student devotees. Moreover, this PMM activity is a mandatory instrument for students before being declared graduated. According to a senior lecturer in Government Studies, Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih said that this integration activity would make routine activities much more effective and would certainly generate many benefits. In addition, Muhammad Kamil, in his presentation, explained that this integration would further strengthen the role of lecturers and students as a joint drivers for the progress of study programs in dealing with social phenomena.
