Malang, September 10, 2020. To increase tourism competitiveness in Blitar Regency, the Blitar Regency Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports (Diparbudpora) Office held homestay management training with all Blitar Regency Tourism Destination Development Staff economic efforts of tourism actors affected by the covid pandemic -19 strengthened again. The training, which was held from Monday-Wednesday, August 30 to September 02, 2020, was attended by around 50 homestay and inn business service managers, which were carried out at the Puspsa Jagad Ecological Tourism Village, Semen Village, Gandusari District, Blitar Regency. This homestay management training is one of the efforts of the Blitar Regency Government to strengthen the tourism sector in the new normal era.

It is hoped that the training being carried out can encourage increased economic growth in Blitar Regency, especially for business actors in the tourism sector in Blitar Regency. However, the management of homestays and inns needs to continue to improve the quality of services supported by adequate human resources (HR) so that the implementation of health protocols in preventing the spread of COVID-19 is carried out properly economy in the tourism sector will gradually recover.

The homestay training in Pujon Kidul Tourism Village is also expected for homestay managers in Blitar Regency to apply the knowledge gained to be an initial means to revive the economy and tourism sector in Blitar Regency. Currently, the success rate of tourism is measured by the number of tourist visits and the average length of time tourists stay and stay in the area.
