The Lecture Plan (SAP) and Semester Program Activity Plan (RPKPS) are the cornerstones of the curriculum in higher education. The intellectual perspective of students is largely influenced by the course materials delivered by lecturers. Additionally, SAP and RPKPS serve as tools to realize the vision and mission of higher education institutions. Therefore, improving SAP and RPKPS is essential. To align the SAP and RPKPS with the development of knowledge, the Government Studies Program held a Workshop on SAP and RPKPS from August 30 to September 1, 2012, with the theme "Making SAP and RPKPS Theory-Based and Adaptive." This event took place at the UMM Hotel and was attended by all lecturers of the Government Studies Program at UMM.

Drs. Krishno Hadi, MA., Head of the Government Studies Laboratory, stated, "We know that the development of political science is very rapid. Changes in paradigms, concepts, and government systems have implications for the study of political science. Therefore, the curriculum and course content in Political Science must continuously evolve. This workshop is part of the effort to achieve that," he said. "We deliberately chose the theme 'Adaptive and Practical-Based,' because we want the curriculum to strike a balance between theory and the development of government practices. Political Science is not only a science but also an art. The relationship between science and art must be balanced. Students should not only learn to understand the theory of government without understanding the art or practice of governance," explained the expert in Government Management.
