Tuesday, December 07, 2021, FISIP conducts Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Blockgrant in 2021. One of the exciting things is the article written by Ali Roziqin, S.PA.M.PA, one of the Government Science (IP UMM) lecturers, with the title The Development of Indonesian e-Government: A bibliometric analysis. This article has entered the Copyediting stage in the COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management and will be published in January 2022. The journal is part of Taylor and Francis and is indexed by the Web of Science (WoS), a highly reputable international journal.

This article is fascinating. First, conduct a bibliometric study of the study of E-Government in Indonesia. Bibliometrics are very helpful to find out the trend of the development of studies on E-Government in Indonesia. Bibliometrics is an approach to analyzing academic publications using statistical and mathematical methods on a topic that is still relatively rarely done by researchers in Indonesia. Bibliometrics is useful for mapping, for example, the identity of the author and the most dominant topic or in the study of E-Government in Indonesia so that apart from helping to understand the trend of publications on the topic of E-Government, it can also determine novelty for researchers on the same issue.

Second, this article uses the Vos Viewer, NVivo 12 Plus, and World Stat 8 Software applications to analyze and visualize the data. These three applications help conduct descriptive analysis to explain; First, annual publication output, citation structure, and document type. Second is the intellectual structure to identify the most contributing authors, institutions, countries, and influential articles. Third, the conceptual design identifies various concepts often used in E-Government study journals and divides them into clustering and mapping studies.

As a reviewer, Dr. Tri Sulistyianingsih, M.Si, really appreciates research using machine learning like this. Vos Viewer, Word Stat 8, and N-Vivo 12 Plus are tools that make the research process more accessible because they are more practical and efficient. The results are extraordinary because they have been published in many National and International Reputable Journals, indicating that this model has a high scientific basis and contribution. Mrs. Tri, her nickname, who is also a lecturer in Governmental Sciences at UMM, feels happy because, in the last two years, the publication of scientific works by both lecturers and IP students has increased drastically, one of which is by using a model like this. IP must continue to advance in publications through smart innovations in methodologies like what Ali Roziqin did," he concluded.
