At the end of 2019, the UMM IP LOGOS Journal was officially accredited. This is based on the decision of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening (RISTEKDIKTI) Number B/4130/E5/E5.2.1/2019 regarding Notification of Scientific Journal Accreditation Results for Period VII of 2019, which places the Logos at the SINTA level 4. We should be grateful for this because it is a good step for Logos to become a journal with a national and international reputation in the future.
In the future, Logos realizes that tremendous and fundamental improvements are needed in the management of the journal if it is to obtain a reputable status. Especially in terms of the substance of the manuscript, it contributes more knowledge to readers worldwide. Therefore, several strategic steps launched by Logos, for example, are capturing quality manuscripts that, of course, are supported by a strict editor and review process. The logo will attract as many as possible through a collaborative approach with reliable journal writers, experienced journal editors, and journal reviewers who have experienced scientific publications (journals).
In 2020, Logos' closest target was to reaccredit with the target of Sinta 2. Of course, a challenging target considering that SINTA 2 standards are complex and stringent. Logos needs from now on to prepare concrete steps by strengthening the internal capacity of LOGOS managers, fixing some weaknesses, socializing the previous LOGOS, socializing the previous LOGOS to increase visits and citations, and most importantly, mainly producing quality manuscripts.
