The Chairman of the Association of Government Science Students (HIMAP), Agung Kurniawan, stated that HIMAP continues to work hard in preparing for the Forum for Cooperation and Communication of Indonesian Government Science Students (FOKKERMAPI) Congress. “This is the first time we have been entrusted with hosting the FOKKERMAPI National Conference,” Agung, as he is familiarly called, said. “It is both a challenge and an opportunity to expand the network of UMM Government Science students at the national level. To seize this opportunity, the entire HIMAP board and committee must work hard,” he added.
Muliansyah, the head of the event's organizing committee, said, "The event, which will take place from December 12 to 16, 2011, carries the theme 'Finding the Best, Bureaucracy Reform 2014-2019.' We chose this theme with the hope that the event will generate ideas for good bureaucracy reform that can serve as a reference for government policies."
The event will feature national and regional speakers from both practitioners and academics, and will be attended by 500 delegates from various universities across Indonesia with Government Science departments. "So far, the committee has been working together and putting in a lot of effort. Everyone is playing their part to ensure the speakers, participants, venue, budget, documentation, equipment, and other aspects are well-organized. We are optimistic that this event will be successful and run smoothly," said Anca, as he is commonly called, with confidence.
