HIMAP (Government Student Association) Holds Discussion About Omnibus Law

Sunday, November 08, 2020, HIMAP UMM held an activity with the theme “Questioning the Omnibus Law; What's the Impact?" held at the Zoom Meeting. This discussion is one of the programs from the Social and Community Sector (SOSMA) of HIMAP UMM for 2019/2020. This Social Discussion Program manifests the third point of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely community service engaged in Social Control. This Discussion Program aims to raise a sense of concern for Government Science students towards social issues that occur and are being discussed by all parties. One hundred eighty-seven people attended this program via virtual. The Social Discussion Program was well received by the participants who participated. In addition, this work program was also attended by members of HIMAP and speaker Muhammad Abni Setiawan.

The Discussion Program was opened with remarks from the host of the Young Members of the Public Relations Division (Tanisa Fitria Damayanti), Moderator (Okta Widya Ningrum), Chief Executive (Muhammad Levia Dava Rejeki Effendi), and Speaker (Muhammad Abni Setiawan). After the opening is complete, the moderator will immediately read the CV. After reading the CV, they were followed by the delivery of material by the presenter. First, Abni Setiawan highlighted the opportunities and challenges of employment opportunities due to the Omnibus Law Ciptaker for young people. Do not let the Government's good intentions open up many jobs, but our youth human resources are not qualified. Then followed by a question and answer session between participants and presenters. After the Q&A session is over, the moderator returns the event to the host, closing the discussion.
