Impressive! UMM Government Studies Student Achieves International Youth Recognition

From January 16 to January 19, 2024, Yastinki Hasni Ivani, a student of Government Studies at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), participated in the Indonesian Youth Excursion (IYEN) program. After a rigorous selection process, Yastinki was chosen as a youth representative for this fully funded program. The IYEN 2024 Chapter in Kuala Lumpur offered an extraordinary experience and numerous opportunities for its participants.

The program featured a series of activities, one of which stood out: all delegates were required to develop a digital innovation project implementing the values of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On the third day, these projects were presented to a panel of judges.

During the evaluation process, the IYEN program brought in a panel of esteemed judges from Malaysia. Team 1B in the Education Sector, led by Yastinki, achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the Runner-Up for Best Innovation award. Their project, titled “Educultural of Entrepreneurship: Mangga Indramayu,” showcased a website designed to empower various elements in the education sector.

The innovation was praised for being informative, communicative, and collaborative. With features that included clear navigation, structured workflows, and excellent presentation, Yastinki’s team stood out among the competitors and claimed the runner-up position at the IYEN Chapter Kuala Lumpur 2024 event.
