The Student Association of the Government Studies Program (HIMAP) organized a socialization and promotional event for the Government Studies program. This initiative aimed to provide high school students with information about the program, encouraging them to consider Government Studies as a potential field of study upon graduation. The events were held across three schools: SMAN 1 Karangrejo Tulungagung, SMAN 2 Batu, and MAN Kota Blitar.
The socialization and promotion activities took place over three days—January 19, January 22, and January 23, 2024. On January 19, the event was conducted at SMAN 1 Karangrejo Tulungagung in the form of a Campus Expo. On January 22, it was held at SMAN 2 Batu with a focus on presenting materials about UMM’s Government Studies program. The final session on January 23 at MAN Kota Blitar also adopted the Campus Expo format.
“Tulungagung, January 19, 2024: Introducing Higher Education Through Campus Expo”
The Campus Expo was an educational exhibition aimed at prospective university students, providing accurate and reliable information about higher education. It served as a platform to motivate SMAN 1 Karangrejo Tulungagung students to consult and explore their options for future studies.
During the expo, universities set up booths where students could inquire about academic programs. Presentations were also made by SMAN 1 Karangrejo teachers, covering topics such as undergraduate (S1) and diploma (D3) programs, as well as the 2024 SNPMB admissions process.
The event also featured a sharing session with alumni from SMAN 1 Karangrejo who had been admitted to universities through various pathways, including SNBP, SNBT, Mandiri, SPAN PTKIN, and UMPTKIN. This was followed by a Q&A session and interactive ice-breaking activities. The session emphasized the importance of leveraging scholarships and admission pathways like SNBP for eligible students.
“Batu, January 22, 2024: Exploring the Prospects of Government Studies”
The socialization event at SMAN 2 Batu provided insights into the Government Studies program, aiming to spark interest among students in choosing the major. The event began with speeches by HIMAP Vice Chair Jemmy Kurniawan and Event Chair Amanda Nazarina Putri, who expressed gratitude to the school and motivated students to pursue their dreams.
The session featured a presentation by Aldy Febriansyah, who explained the UMM Government Studies program, career prospects, credit requirements, the Center of Excellence (CoE), and student achievements. During the session, students asked numerous questions, such as:

“Blitar, January 23, 2024: Inspiring Students at MAN Kota Blitar”
The event at MAN Kota Blitar began with a welcoming speech from the principal, highlighting the importance of the Campus Expo as a way to introduce higher education to 12th-grade students and inspire them to overcome challenges in pursuit of their dreams. The event also sought to strengthen alumni relations and foster connections between alumni and future graduates.
The program included a drama performance in collaboration with MAN Kota Blitar’s theater team. A motivational seminar was conducted, where alumni shared their academic and organizational experiences during their university journey.
Representatives from various universities participated in a talk show, where they engaged in active discussions with students, covering topics like campus life, admission pathways, and personal experiences in higher education. The event also featured interactive ice-breaking activities, such as quizzes on university logos and songs, to keep the audience engaged and enthusiastic.
Through these activities, the Government Studies program successfully introduced its offerings, inspired students, and created meaningful interactions to guide them in making informed decisions about their future educational paths.
