Malang, 10 October 2023. In order to maintain students' critical reasoning, the Government Science Student Association (HIMAP) is again holding discussion activities through the Debate's Community Part-2 forum. This discussion activity was attended by students from the classes of 2022 and 2023, and was guided directly by the UMM Government Science lecturer, namely Mr. Ach. Apriyanto Romadhan, S.IP., M.Sc.
The person who acted as a discussion starter was Aisyah Firanti, one of the students from the class of 2020. The theme discussed in this discussion was entitled "Digitalization of MSMEs during the Pandemic, Is it Successful?" This theme is in accordance with the focus of the study on government policy researched by Igniter.
The meeting, which examined the effectiveness of the MSME digitalization program during the pandemic, took the form of two-way discussion and communication activities between the lighters and the audience. In this forum, the lighter conveys arguments which will then be discussed.
“Modern technology is one of the considerations in improving the economy. The development of MSMEs carried out by the Department of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises through training and coaching certainly produces effective results. However, on the other hand, there are still inhibiting factors, namely the development of the digital MSME sector which is still unable to be independent, where MSME players still need to continue to be encouraged. "Apart from that, digitalization of MSMEs still cannot reach all regions," said Pemikk.
Through this discussion, arguments emerged from students, that the Department of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises needs to collaborate with the private sector in order to help MSMEs. This collaboration can take the form of the presence of a third party who can at least help a little with modern technology problems which are one of the considerations in improving the economy.
