Lecturers of Governmental Sciences (IP) UMM Malang again received recognition for the expertise possessed by government agencies. This time as a Team of Experts in the Study of the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) from the Malang City Transportation Service in 2021. The IP lecturer involved is Drs. Khrisno Hadi, MA as Chair of the Expert Team and Yana Syafrieyana, S.IP, M.IP, Ali Roziqin, S.PA., M.PA and Iradhat Taqwa Sihidi, S.IP., MA as members of the expert team.
Since November, this study has gone through a long process that started from the survey process and has now been completed in a final report. Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Malang City Transportation Service Meeting Room, the final report was presented, describing the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) for nine types of services the Malang City Transportation Service provided.
Of the 9 existing service units, namely the Service for Use of Road Agencies, Recommendation Services for Traffic, Types of Issuance Services Recommendations for Replacement of Public Passenger Cars / AKAP / AKDP Buses and City Transportation, Types of Publishing Services Recommendations for Extending Route Extensions for Public Passenger Cars / AKAP / AKDP Buses and Transportation City, Type of Issuance Service, Recommendation for Change in Route Route for Public Passenger Cars/AKAP/AKDP Buses and City Transportation, Types of Issuance Services of Recommendations for Business Permits for the Transport of People and Goods, Types of Issuance Services, Technical Considerations for Operational Permits for Non-Route Transport, Motor Vehicle Testing and Licensing Services All parking lots get a B in the quality of service which means the category is Good. This shows reasonable community satisfaction with the services provided by the Department of Transportation. However, from the results of a deeper analysis, there are still some problems that need to be improved in the future, for example, Service Time and Competency of Operators whose numbers are the lowest in the Issuance of Technical Considerations for Operational Permits for Non-Route Transport.
Yana Syafrieyana, S.IP.M.IP, as one of the Expert Teams, stated that this activity was part of the contribution of universities, especially IP UMM, in improving public services in Malang City. Yana, her nickname, who also serves as Head of the IP Laboratory of UMM Malang, stated that such collaborations have been ongoing for a long time in various activities, and there are still several plans for further activities. This IKM survey illustrates the performance of services provided by the Malang City Transportation Service. From our survey and analysis findings, the quality of service is good, which means that the community is satisfied. Although it must be admitted, there still needs to be improvements in several units so that they can get a very good predicate in the future. This collaboration is not the last. The next step is the Study on Integrated Public Transportation in Malang City, which is planned to be carried out in 2022. The IP Study Program, which the Laboratory fully supports, will always be ready to help Government Agencies and the private sector in terms of improving public services in Indonesia, " closed Yana.
