Malang, December 20, 2023. The UMM Government Science Student Association (HIMAP) once again held a discussion through the Debate's Community forum in the twelfth week. The activity, which is routinely carried out once a week, aims to foster critical thinking in students. The discussion activity was attended by Government Science students from the 2022 and 2023 intakes.
Acting as a discussion starter, namely a group of presenters from the class of 2022 consisting of five people with the theme discussed in this discussion entitled "Corruption Notes: Tracking Actors, Listening to Implications". The theme was chosen to examine the reality of corruption that occurs in Indonesia.
The meeting that examines the reality of corruption in Indonesia is technically in the form of a discussion and two-way communication activity between the facilitator and the audience. In the forum, the facilitator delivers material and arguments that will then be discussed.
“Efforts to eradicate corruption and implement the principles of Good Governance must continue consistently and sustainably. This will require close cooperation between various parties, including the government, society, and the business sector. Thus, the anti-corruption movement towards Good Governance remains an important initiative in building an efficient government free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism.” The trigger explained
Through this discussion forum, arguments were built from students with the conclusion that the anti-corruption movement towards Good Governance is a very important effort in building good and clean governance from minimizing corruption and nepotism, such as the establishment of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the anti-corruption movement, and the implementation of the principles of Good Governance. Although there have been various successes in the anti-corruption movement towards Good Governance, there are still challenges that must be overcome. One of the main challenges is the difficulty of reporting and handling corruption cases, as well as the continued practice of corruption and nepotism in various sectors.
To achieve the anti-corruption movement towards Good Governance, commitment and cooperation from all elements of society, including the government, society, and the business world, are needed. By continuing to strengthen the anti-corruption movement and the implementation of the principles of Good Governance, it is hoped that clean government governance free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism can be realized, which in turn will improve the welfare of society and the progress of the nation.
