Learning the Practice of Village Administration in the Era of Disruption, UMM Government Science Students Conduct Dialogue with the Ministry of Village-PDT

One hundred students of Government Science, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, held a joint dialogue at the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions. The event, held in the Hall of the Ministry of Villages, PDT, was welcomed directly by the Directorate General of Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Samsul Widodo. The group was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih, M.Si, and Ali Roziqin, M.PA. This event was held as part of the "Study Excursie" student visit, which aims to introduce students of the Government Science Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang to work programs at the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration. Students can learn practically how the Government performs in developing villages, disadvantaged areas, and transmigration areas.

In his general lecture, Samsul Widodo explained that the challenges for the Government, especially the Ministry of Villages, PDT, would be more complex. Governance will change significantly in the future, so transformational efforts are needed. This business can use information technology. According to Samsul Widodo, the PDT Ministry of Villages has developed innovations for developing villages and remote, underdeveloped areas such as smart farming, digital villages, and developing drones to deliver goods to isolated areas. On another occasion, Ir. Razali, M.Si also invites students to contribute to village development. Through the use of existing technology, students in the future must be able to optimize the village's potential for the community's welfare. Finally, students are encouraged to think outside the box and not be too pragmatic so that the village's potential can be touched by student creativity.
