In the previous leadership, Mr. Yana, as he is fondly called, has made a lot of progress. In the solemn 2017-2021, many progressive breakthroughs have been made by developing increasingly solid institutions and strategic collaborations with many government institutions at the provincial, district/city, and village levels. Until now, it is also in the process of finalizing the E-Planning and Ndesit applications. E-Planning is an electronic-based development planning application system that can help students learn electronic-based government development planning in all districts/cities in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Ndesit is an electronic-based village information system that contains real-time profile data and village asset management.

In addition, in this second period, the challenges of the Laboratory are getting tougher. The Laboratory must be a support system in implementing Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) and the Center of Excellence (CoE). This program needs a quick adaptation so that more visionary leadership is needed so that the strategy is right and the Laboratory is the executor of these activities. Yana emphasized the optimism that all these targets can be achieved by increasing Human Resources (HR) and other supporting facilities and infrastructure. Moreover, Ali Roziqin, S.PA., M.PA as Secretary of the LAB will later be assisted to make Lab tasks easier to carry out. In the future, the Lab will be more well organized and, of course, intensive collaboration with the IP Study Program so that Lab development will be faster, "said Yana.

Muhammad Kamil, S.IP., MA, as the Head of UMM IP Study Program, said that the Laboratory has been moving on the right track even though some things need to be improved in the future. Moreover, the implementation of MBKM and CoE will be the Lab's responsibility so that careful strategic planning is necessary and formulated together with all UMM IP lecturers. In addition, the Lab needs to make Learning Outcomes (CPL) for all Practicum courses to support the implementation of MBKM and CoE. We are very sure that the Lab will be more advanced in this second period because of the proven leadership vision and support from the IP UMM family," concluded Muhammad Kamil.
