Center of Excellence (CoE) "School of Government and Politics Analyst" is a center of excellence developed by the Government Science Study Program FISIP-UMM as a response to the vision and commitment of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang which wants to create higher education institutions that have centers of excellence based on research and discipline knowledge in each study program by taking into account the program's vision and mission, MBKM-OBE curriculum, graduate profiles, Graduate Learning Achievements (CPL) and stakeholder needs while still referring to the strategic programs of the Faculty and University.

Center of Excellence "School of Government and Politics Analyst" Government Science Study Program FISIP-UMM was designed based on the mapping of tracer study results, the needs of internal and external stakeholders, including the interests of students, alumni, Muhammadiyah Organizations, government institutions, political parties, non-government organizations (NGO) engaged in government, politics and community empowerment. Thus, the existence of the Center of Excellence is directed to answer the needs of internal and external stakeholders in realizing the development and improvement of the quality of education, increasing institutional capacity and capability, creating quality and competitive human resources, increasing the relevance and productivity of research and strengthening the capacity innovation so as to have superiority and competitiveness.

In the end, the center of excellence developed by study programs is expected to not only contribute to the internal interests of study programs and institutions, but also contribute to wider interests outside universities. The bottom line is that through this flagship program, the study program is expected not only to gain formal recognition as a superior study program through national accreditation bodies and international accreditation, but also recognition from all stakeholders.
