In order to realize a World Class University, a university must show its existence at the global level. This existence is evidenced by the productivity of research and writing by lecturers with the publication of scientific papers. One of them is the activeness in writing journals, both accredited national journals and reputable international journals. To realize this, the Government Science Study Program has a strategy, namely, holding a “Workshop on Writing Scientific Articles for Accredited National Journals and Reputable International Journals (Thursday, 10/05) at the UMM Inn Hotel. This activity was held with the support of AIPPTM, ADIPSI, and KAPSIPI as partners of the Government Science Study Program.
The activity which lasted for the next three days was opened directly by the Chairman of AIPPTM, Prof.Dr.Nurmandi, M.Sc., who was also a speaker at the event. Workshop participants were lecturers from various universities in Indonesia. The first material was delivered by Zulfatman, Ph.D who provided knowledge about Publication and Citation Metrics. Furthermore, the material on Literature Review Writing Techniques delivered by Prof. Dr. Nurmandi, M.Sc, who provides tips or special tricks in making Literature Review so that it can be accepted in reputable national journals and accredited international journals. This workshop is very helpful for participants in making Scientific Articles. As stated by a participant from Palangkaraya University, Mr. Saifulah Darlan, “In the past, before knowing the technique of speed reading journals, making Literature Review could take one month, now I can quickly make Literature Review,” he said.
In addition to being the host, Government Science Study Program also participated in the Journal Writing. This activity is a form of Government Science Study Program strategy to be ready to compete globally, and of course realize the vision of the University to become a world class university.
