Malang, August 22, 2024—The Government Studies Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) conducted its first Management Review Meeting and Initial Coordination for the Odd Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The event, held at the Kapal Garden Hotel Auditorium, was attended by all faculty members and the Dean of FISIP.
This routine activity is conducted at the start of each semester to ensure the smooth implementation of teaching and learning activities for the upcoming semester. It also serves as a forum to evaluate the previous semester's academic processes.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Muslimin Machmud, M.Si., Dean of FISIP, stated, “Hopefully, this management review meeting can help the Government Studies Program set its sights on achieving international accreditation from FIBAA in the future.”
Additionally, the program’s administrative staff and laboratory personnel presented challenges they encountered in managing administrative tasks and facilitating student practicums. This allowed faculty members to understand the issues and collaboratively develop solutions to ensure smooth administrative processes and practicum activities.
“The goal of this activity is to identify and address problems arising during the academic implementation. Moreover, it aims to develop a clear work plan for the coming semester, including setting academic targets and flagship programs,” explained Muhammad Kamil, S.IP., MA, Head of the Government Studies Program.
Through the Management Review Meeting 1 and Initial Coordination for the Odd Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, the Government Studies Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang aims to conduct the odd semester more effectively and efficiently while achieving its academic and programmatic goals.
