As one of the leading study programs, the IP Study Program continues to improve and develop. The IP Study Program is present as part of an epistemic community that develops along with the times. Through cooperation or partnership programs with foreign universities, the IP Study Program wants to prove and realize the Vision of the Study Program, namely, to become a center of education that excels in the development of science and international standard government practices to support the realization of effective government as an embodiment of Islamic values. Khon Kaen University, Thailand, is one of the partners of the IP Study Program in achieving this vision.
The Government Science Study Program successfully held an International Guest Lecture by inviting the Dean of COLA, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supawatanakorn Wongtanavhasu (17/10). This event was held in the 9th Floor Hall, Joint Lecture Building (GKB IV), University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The presence of the Dean of COLA to the University of Muhammadiyah Malang is a concrete step in realizing an international standard study program. He gave a public lecture in front of 420 Government Science students with the topic of Public Sector Services in Thailand. This activity successfully made students enthusiastic to attend the Guest Lecture. The event itself was opened directly by the Vice Dean I, Dr. Dyah Estu Kurniawati, M.Si, and the Head of the Government Affairs and Administration Study Program, Salahudin, M.Si, M.PA, also gave a welcoming speech.
This International Guest Lecture activity is part of a series of agreed cooperation (MoU). Previously, six students of Government Science were participating in the Student Exchange program at COLA, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, for one month. While there, the students of Government Science attended lectures and learned about local culture and traditions. This program will later be worked on seriously between the Government Science Study Program and COLA so that it can continue to become a credit transfer.
