The National Mid-Level Government Leadership Training Event (LKPTMN) is part of a series of activities organized by FOKERMAPI (Forum for Communication and Cooperation of Government Science Students across Indonesia). This event was held in the BAU Hall on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Akbar Tanjung, currently serving as the National Advisory Board of Golkar, attended the event as a guest speaker.
The theme of this event was "Strengthening Civil Society within the Framework of Democracy." The event was warmly welcomed by the Rector of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, M. Ap., who also delivered a keynote speech. Organized by the Government Science Student Association (HMJ IP), the seminar focused on discussions about Indonesia's bureaucracy, contributing to the nation, and addressing current political issues in the country.
The event was attended by 250 students from 28 universities across Indonesia that offer Government Science programs. Apart from being an annual event by FOKERMAPI, this gathering aimed to strengthen connections and foster camaraderie among Government Science students nationwide. “This event is a source of pride for UMM's Government Science program, as it has successfully met its target,” said Nurmansyah, the chair of the organizing committee.
The topics discussed during LKPTMN were geared toward developing Government Science students into competent national leaders in their fields. Additionally, the event provided UMM students with practical training on organizing activities and working in teams. It is hoped that through this event, students will excel not only academically but also in practical and professional applications.
