Malang, May 15, 2024 – The Department of Public Administration at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang has signed a cooperation agreement with PT Akademi Indonesia Maju to establish a Center of Excellence collaboration in the fields of academics and student competency development.
PT Akademi Indonesia Maju is a company specializing in public consultancy. In practice, the consultants work for their clients by providing objective advice and solutions as a third party.
During a meeting with PT Akademi Indonesia Maju, the Head of the Department of Public Administration, Mr. Muhammad Kamil, S.IP., M.A., stated, "The goal of this MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) collaboration is to provide learning activities outside of higher education so that students gain contextual field experience, which will enhance their overall competencies, prepare them for work, or create new job opportunities."
This goal was warmly welcomed by PT Akademi Indonesia Maju’s representative, Mr. Erick Setiawan, who said, "We highly support and are grateful for the collaboration between the Public Administration Department at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang and PT Akademi Indonesia Maju. We hope this collaboration will run smoothly."
PT Akademi Indonesia Maju is a well-known public consultancy firm, recognized for its work with both regional and central governments, so its credibility is unquestionable. This partnership is expected to benefit the development of student skills as well as strengthen institutional capacity.
The Department of Public Administration continues to expand its network of collaborations in order to improve the quality of education and learning. Through this partnership, it is hoped that the curriculum can be developed to be more relevant and practical by providing internship programs for students, as well as organizing beneficial seminars.
