Malang, December 19, 2022. In preparing and finalizing the start of superior classes in the even semester of 2022/2023, the Government Studies Study Program workshop held a COE (Centre of Excellence) curriculum. Previously, the Government Studies study program had two COE classes approved by the university leadership, namely the Village Administration Class and the Government Analyst Class. The workshop at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang Rayz hotel presented several COE partners, from the Village Government in Batu City and Malang Regency to the local government level. This event was opened directly by the Dean of FISIP, Prof. Muslimin Machmud, M.Sc. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation and hoped that next semester the two COE classes of the Government Studies study program could begin. The implementation of the COE is expected to support the University's Vision and Mission, which are wrong, including graduating on time and having skilled human resources.
This activity was carried out as a Focus Group Discussion. The initial material was delivered by the Head of Government Studies Study Program Muhammad Kamil, S, IP., M.A and forwarded by Ka. Government Studies Lab Ali Roziqin, M.PA, is a COE implementation PIC. This activity focuses on the process of compiling curriculum materials, teaching partners, and the timeline, as well as technical models for COE learning. This is intended to provide a more practical feel than regular classes. On the same occasion, Kamil, the familiar greeting from the Head of the Government Studies Study Program, said that the results of the workshop and FGD are expected to become technical guidelines for study programs to carry out superior classes, which will start next semester. At the same time, ask for suggestions and input from partners for technical implementation models so that the presence of students can become problem solvers and helpers in completing partners' assignments.
