Good news came back from one of the UMM Government Science Study Program students. Irvan Indra Bagansa or who is often called Irvan, a student of class 2023. Has succeeded in making brilliant achievements in the non-academic field.
With this, he also added to the list of achievements of Government Science Study Program students by winning an award in the national pencak silat championship of the 8th UNESA Cup SH National Championship. This activity took place at Surabaya State University on December 17-18, 2024. This activity was attended by hundreds of martial arts athletes from various regions.
The achievement achieved by Irvan as the third winner of the Adult E PA Class Tnding Category is the result of routine and disciplined training every week three times. “I do training three times a week, namely on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at UKM PSHT UMM”.
The Head of Government Science Study Program, Mr. Muhammad Kamil, S.IP., MA said that this achievement not only made him proud but also brought the good name of the UMM Government Science Study Program at the national level. “With the increasing achievements achieved by these students, it proves that the Government Science Study Program continues to produce young people who are competent, outstanding, and able to compete both in academic and non-academic fields”.
This achievement is expected to inspire other students to never give up and keep trying. So that they can make a positive contribution to themselves, study programs, and universities.
Irvan Indra Bagansa also advised “Start even if you are afraid, your courage today will take you to a better place tomorrow.”
