In a series of "study excursie" Ministry and Institutional tours, UMM Government Science students visited the DPR-RI building. This visit introduces students to government science directly about legislation and policy-making mechanisms. This is important as a knowledge base for students during lectures and post-lectures. This group of 100 students was received now by the Public Relations section of the DPR-RI Erna Agustina, M.Sc. Next on the occasion, the event which was packaged in this discussion and dialogue, the material was explained by Andam Perwitasari, S.IP, M.IP.
Andam explained that the DPR RI has three functions: legislation, budgeting, and supervision. The existence of the DPR in the Indonesian Government is part of the checks and balances. Furthermore, the task of the DPR-RI is to gather various kinds of interests to be then formulated into legislation. On the other hand, besides introducing the primary duties and functions of the DPR. The mother also explained the transformation of the DPR-RI into a digital and transparent era so that the public can freely access all information in the DPR through the website. On the same occasion, Andam urges students to be critical and intelligent in responding to public issues moreover, and students are agents of change and one of the academic subjects in society. So, thinking and responding to a problem must be wise and produce a solution.
