From April 26 to 28, 2012, the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) conducted a field assessment of the Government Science Study Program. Two assessors, Drs. Edi Santoso, SU., from UNDIP, and Dr. Nawiruddin, M.Si., from UIN Hidayatullah Jakarta, were appointed by BAN-PT to examine the governance of the Government Science Study Program, focusing on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: Education, Research, and Community Service for the last three years (2008, 2009, and 2010).

The accreditation process requires thorough preparation to complete the accreditation documents (Borang) and Self-Evaluation, accompanied by physical evidence. Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih, M.Si., the head of the program who achieved the best department head rank at the university level, said, “According to BAN-PT regulations, the accreditation documents consist of the Borang and Self-Evaluation. The Borang includes seven standards that cover the program's activities in education, research, and community service over the past three years. The Self-Evaluation includes the program's profile, conditions, developments, achievements, strategic plans, and a SWOT analysis. The Borang and Self-Evaluation must be realistic and rational, based on data or physical evidence,” said the alumnus of the University of Brawijaya Malang.

The preparation of the Borang and Self-Evaluation requires a dedicated team with a high commitment to the study program. This team works tirelessly, with the primary focus being to complete the documents according to the target. Drs. Jainuri, M.Si., the secretary of the Government Science Study Program, explained, “Preparing the Borang and Self-Evaluation is not an easy task, so we needed to form a special team or task force with a vision and mission to develop the program. We have this team, which allowed us to complete the documents well. We did our best to achieve the best result,” he explained.

During the assessment conducted in the FISIP Meeting Room, assessors Drs. Edi Santoso, SU., and Dr. Nawiruddin, M.Si., questioned the physical evidence corresponding to the Borang and Self-Evaluation data. The assessment began with the review of the Borang, from standards one to seven, followed by the examination of the faculty’s Borang adjusted to the study program’s Borang. Drs. Edi Santoso, SU., the head of the assessment team, said, “We would like to thank you for your warm welcome. In general, the Government Science Study Program appears to be well-prepared and serious, as seen in the Borang entries and the data provided. We hope this will produce the results you expect,” said the Government Science lecturer from UNDIP, starting the assessment. Dr. Nawiruddin, M.Si., expressed his satisfaction and pride in the study program for its cohesive preparation of the assessment. “We are proud because the Government Science Study Program has prepared for this assessment very seriously. This is evident in the presence of the lecturers, students, alumni, and alumni users. Everyone is here, and we rarely find this. This will help us obtain objective information. We hope this brings positive results,” said the lecturer in Public Administration from the Political Science Department at UIN Hidayatullah Jakarta, with enthusiasm. The assessment results are expected to be released by BAN-PT at the end of May 2012. We hope the results align with the expectations, he concluded. (udin)
