Malang, October 23, 2024 – The General Election Commission (KPU) of Malinau District has appointed 7 panelists for the first-ever debate in the 2024 Pilkada. These panelists were selected based on their expertise in various academic fields.
One of the lecturers from the Government Studies Program at UMM, Yana Safriyana Hijri, S.IP., M.IP, has been entrusted with the role of panelist in the debate for the Malinau District Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections in North Kalimantan Province.
The debate was held at the Tebengang Room, Malinau Regent’s Office, and was also broadcast live by a private TV station. The theme of this inaugural debate focused on governance management.
Yana Safriyana Hijri, S.IP., M.IP, stated, "This debate is an important platform for the candidates to present their vision and mission openly to the people of Malinau."
Furthermore, it serves to delve deeper into the thoughts and ideas of the candidates to strengthen human resources and work towards a more advanced and developed Malinau District. As a panelist, Yana, as he is affectionately known, was responsible for preparing questions and discussion points to be posed to the candidates. This was to understand their vision, mission, and the programs they would implement if elected.
