Understanding the importance of community service programs is one of the fundamental responsibilities of lecturers as academics. In 2013, lecturers of the Government Science Department collectively conducted community service programs. Six lecturers were divided into three teams:

  • Team I: Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih, M.Si., and Hevi Kurnia Hardini, S.IP., MA.Gov.
  • Team II: Drs. Krishno Hadi, M.Si., and Salahudin, S.IP.
  • Team III: Drs. Jainuri, M.Si., and Dr. Asep Nurjaman, M.Si.

Each team executed distinct programs in different locations:

  • Team I focused on the theme "IbM for PKBM 'Aisyiyah Dau Malang."
  • Team II carried out "Training on Village Regulation Drafting for Banjararum Village Government."
  • Team III implemented "Training of Trainers (TOT) for Muhammadiyah Cadres in Malang City."

The programs were designed based on the needs and problem identification conducted by each team for their respective target groups. These initiatives were warmly welcomed by the community. The Head of Banjararum Village expressed his gratitude, saying, "We are very pleased with the community service program from UMM." Similarly, the Chair of PKBM 'Aisyiyah Dau Malang shared the same sentiment.

Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih, M.Si., Head of the Government Science Study Program, expressed her pride in the active involvement of the lecturers. "I am very happy and proud of the Government Science lecturers for their dedication to community service. The programs not only benefit the community but also significantly contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the institution," she said.
