Jakarta-Internship is one of the requirements for completing education, especially for students of Government Science at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Final year students are required to do internships in government agencies, both at the district/city, provincial and even central levels. With this research internship program, there will be many benefits for students, the intended benefits are being able to practice directly in the field what has been learned during lectures in class, as well as increasing insight, there is a lot of additional knowledge that can be obtained from this research internship program.

The three of us (Afif, Adinda and Jeny) carried out a research internship at the Ministry of Tourism for 2 months, we were very happy and proud to be able to do a research internship at the Ministry of Tourism and we were welcomed with open arms, the first day at the office we were escorted by Mbak Ika as the personal secretary of the Assistant Deputy for Cultural Tourism Development (Asdep PWB) which is where we carry out our activities. In Asdep PWB there are 4 fields, namely Culinary and Shopping Tourism, Historical and Religious Tourism, Rural and Urban Tourism, and Thematic Tourism. There we met many new people from various regions such as Medan, Java, Sunda, we were very happy when they spoke their respective languages and we thought it was very unique and they were very friendly to us.

The first day of our research internship we were not given any tasks to do, we only introduced ourselves to all the staff assisted by Mrs. Ana as the Head of the Historical and Religious Tourism Division. In addition, we also got new friends, they were also interning at the Asdep PWB, namely Alfandy and Sheila. When we were interning, we were not placed in one of the fields, we were flexible in helping all fields, especially the busy fields.

From there we also learned knowledge that can be said to be only found in the Ministry of Tourism, such as 10 priority destinations and reduced to 4 priority destinations. We helped find data on amenities and accessibility as well as a summary of tourism in each district and city in each of the 10 provinces. Although it can be said to take a long time to do and is a bit complicated, but from there we can find out some tourism that turns out to be very much owned by Indonesia which is sometimes rarely exposed, even some of the accessibility and amenities are not commensurate with the beauty of tourism in that place.

In addition, we were also invited to a working meeting with the Ministry of Villages, and became the minutes of the meeting. Although only as minutes and listeners, from there we got a lot of additional knowledge that even social media has not exposed. The Ministry of Tourism, of course, is not far from Tourism, every day several employees there go out of town for business trips, and they always bring souvenirs when they return to the office, which automatically allows us to taste various snacks from several regions in the archipelago. Luckily we were also invited on a business trip to Bogor City, we were very happy to travel while working. Once we were given the responsibility as a substitute for the personal assistant of the Deputy Assistant to PWB who took care of incoming letters and their dispositions, because many employees were on business trips at the same time that day, it was a bit difficult because there was so much work, but we finished the work that day well, and we also understood the workflow at the Deputy Assistant to PWB.

In addition to learning about several tourism with amenities and accessibility in Indonesia, we also had the opportunity to input the Payment Request Details List (DRPP) given by Mr. Joko as the Commitment Giving Officer (PPK) Asdep PWB who gave us a lot of knowledge, even though we were not involved in making this DRPP, by inputting data and reading it, it has increased our knowledge again which we may not have gotten in class.

In essence, we are grateful for the research internship at the Department of Government Science, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, because apart from gaining extraordinary experience in the world of work in the government sector, we can also conduct research that will become the material for our thesis, which is expected to accelerate our graduation.
