Saturday, May 4, 2024 – A total of 60 students from the 2022 batch of the Public Administration program participated in an internship socialization event held at GKB 1, Room 603. This internship program coincides with the internship program for all students from the 2021 batch, which will take place from July to October 2024.

What sets this internship apart is that the selected students from the 2022 batch will only intern in the Malang Raya area, including Batu City, Malang City, and Malang Regency. Meanwhile, the 2021 batch will be assigned to internships in central government, regional government, and Magetan Regency.

As stated by the Head of the Public Administration Department, Mr. Muhammad Kamil, S.IP., M.A., “Congratulations, you are the 60 selected students who will participate in the internship program in semester 5. Although you were supposed to do this internship next year, you are starting it earlier than your peers.”

He also mentioned that the students from the 2022 batch who have not participated in the internship this year will do so in the following year, in semester 7. This internship program can be converted to 20 credits, with the condition that students should regularly consult and not take leave too frequently without proper explanation.

The Secretary of the Public Administration Program, Mr. Ach. Apriyanto Romadhan, S.IP., M.Si., also explained, “For this internship group, each institution will have only 2 to 3 students.” Therefore, the internship placements for the 2022 batch will be determined by the department, unlike the 2021 batch, who had the opportunity to choose their own internship locations.

During the socialization, students were reminded not to forget to seek permission from their parents. Although they are completing the internship in semester 5, they must still contribute their best efforts to the institutions where they are interning. The department will assist with the permission letter and administrative procedures.
