Malang, February 4, 2025 – The Government Science Study Program of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) once again held the Government Explore School activity, this time at SMAN 1 Turen, Malang Regency. This event aims to introduce the strategic role of government science in everyday life and to open the insights of grade XII students about study and career opportunities in the field of government.

The event, which took place in the school hall, was attended by the Principal of SMAN 1 Turen, Head of the UMM Government Science Study Program, Secretary of the Study Program, and a number of lecturers. No less than 120 grade XII students enthusiastically participated in this event, which was packaged interactively with discussions, presentations of materials, and question and answer sessions discussing various government issues.

In his speech, the Principal of SMAN 1 Turen expressed his appreciation for UMM's initiative in providing students with broader insights into the world of government. "This activity is very useful for our students who are determining their choice of further studies. With a deeper understanding of government science, they can be better prepared to make decisions," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Government Science Study Program of UMM emphasized the importance of understanding how government works in people's lives. "Every policy that we feel, from education, health, to infrastructure development, is the result of a good government system. Government Science is not only interesting to study, but also provides an opportunity for the younger generation to contribute to change," he explained.

The main session of the event was an interactive presentation that sparked students' curiosity. Many students actively asked questions and showed deep interest in the topics discussed. A grade XII student, Lingga, expressed his interest after attending the event. "It turns out that government science is fun and important. I understand more about how policies are made and implemented. In fact, I am starting to consider entering UMM Government Science," he said enthusiastically.

The event ended with an invitation for students to join the UMM Government Science Study Program and become part of a generation ready to build better governance.
