The Main Competencies of Graduates

The main competency are determined to produce educational outputs that have foreign language skills; writing; rhetoric; researching and analyzing; managerial, leadership in government and politics; and entrepreneurship. This competency is obtained by students through core curriculum courses and institutional curriculum.

The intimacy curriculum includes subjects: Scientific Indonesian Language, Introduction to Social Statistics, Social Research Methods, Political Science Methodology and Government Sciences, Fundamentals of Logic, Principles of Management, Government Management Organizations, Indonesian Economic System and Land Politics.

Institutional Curriculum covers courses: ESP I and ESP II, Social and Political Strength Analysis, Philosophy of Science, Management Information Systems, Conflict and Consensus Management, Management of Human Resources, Management of Public Services, Investment and Local Economic Development, Taxation, Development and Community Empowerment, Community Service Students to the Community.

 

Supporting Competencies

Supporting competencies are superior competencies which are the competencies of the founder of Governmental Science Department UMM which are emphasized on the realization of Good Governance and Strengthening Local Governance. Leading competence consists of the ability to compile and evaluate public policy, negotiate, public speaking, analysis of local politics, and problems with local government. This competency is obtained by students through the Core curriculum, and the Institutional curriculum.

The Intellectual curriculum consists of subjects: Public Policy, Republic of Indonesia Government System, Indonesian Bureaucracy, Political System of Indonesia, Central and Regional Relations, Indonesian Socio-Cultural System, and Indonesian Party and Election System.

Institutional curriculum covers subjects: Regional Development Planning, State and Civil Society, Comparison of Political and Government Systems, Government Budgeting Systems, Decentralization Theory and Practice, Urban Politics, Government Dynamics and Local Politics, Democracy and Human Rights, Legislative Processes, Conflict and Consensus Management, Philosophy of Science, Corruption Politics, Politics of Regional Expansion and Border Politics.

 

Other Competencies / Graduate Choices

Other competencies / choices of graduates are specific competencies. Specific competencies aim at producing educational output that has a noble character as a driver of the creation of a sense of responsibility for the dynamics of government. This competency is obtained by students through the national curriculum, namely Citizenship Education courses and curriculum of study programs consisting of Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) I through AIK IV, and Islamic Political Thought.
