In welcoming the new members of the Government Studies Student Association (HIMAP) for the 2024/2025 period, HIMAP organized a “Welcome Party” event. This event was held over 2 days and 1 night at a villa in Batu City. The activity aimed to foster closer relationships between the new members and existing HIMAP members, strengthening unity within the organization.
The Welcome Party was also attended by the Head of the Government Studies Program, the program secretary, and several lecturers. Their presence served as both an appreciation and an inspiration for all participants in building stronger connections within the academic community.
In his opening speech, the event organizer, Ade Pradya Putra Pradana, emphasized that the event was designed to strengthen unity and build good chemistry among all participants, creating a positive synergy toward achieving common goals.
“The meaning of the Welcome Party is that it’s not just about fun, but about making everyone feel like they belong to the association. This is not the end, but the beginning of building closer ties to carry out the work programs in HIMAP. We must not only work within, but also expand our reach so that we can be recognized,” said the Head of the Government Studies Program, Mr. Muhammad Kamil, S.IP., M.A.
The event then continued with a series of engaging and meaningful activities. On the first day, participants joined a sharing session with the outgoing members. The event proceeded with ice-breaking sessions, a talent show by the formateurs and all committees, the introduction of the outgoing members, and was concluded with a bonding night featuring a BBQ.
On the second day, the activities began with a morning walk around the villa, creating a fresh and shared atmosphere. Following that, participants took part in an outbound activity aimed at enhancing teamwork and cohesion. The event concluded with the awarding of prizes to the winners of the outbound activities, marking the end of the “Welcome Party,” which was filled with warmth, enthusiasm, and inspiration.
